The ski-in/ski-out score

“Is it really ski-in/ski-out?” is the question every guest and buyer asks. This gives every address on the mountain an honest score out of 100, based on how far you actually walk to the snow, ranked only against the rest of SilverStar.

It's the one I'm proudest of, and it's best seen in person. I'd love to show you.

Example score card
92 / 100
  • Ski out to a groomed run from the door
  • Short walk back up from the nearest lift
  • No road crossings with skis on
Illustration only. Real scores are looked up by address.

How it works

No contracts, no fees, nothing to install.

  1. Pick the ones you like

Use one tool or all of them. Link to them from your site, your app or a guest email.

  2. Add a small credit

A “Tools by Chalet Sean” link wherever you use them. Copy it here:

    <p>Guest tools by <a href="https://chaletsean.ca/">Chalet Sean</a></p>
  3. I keep them running

Lift status, snow and hours stay up to date on my end. Want it in your colours, or have a tool idea? I'll build it.

Sean Phillips in his SilverStar Mountain Host jacket at the village grooming board

Hi, I'm Sean (Chalet Sean)

I've spent years at both SilverStar and Big White. I'm a SilverStar Mountain Host, leading the 9:30 a.m. tour from Town Hall. I also sell resort homes at SilverStar, Big White and Sun Peaks, and I build tools that make the mountain easier for guests.
